OCD Texas is pleased to announce that it will again be co-hosting with the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF) the 2nd Annual 1 Million Steps 4 OCD Walk in Houston on June 3rd, 2017!
The 1 Million Steps 4 OCD Walk is the first grassroots visibility and fundraising campaign spotlighting OCD on a national level. Each year, members of the OCD community from across the country — including individuals with OCD, mental health professionals, friends, family members, coworkers, children, and even four-legged friends (dogs must be on a leash, of course) — join together at the 1 Million Steps 4 OCD Walk to raise awareness, hope, and funds to the support the important programs of the International OCD Foundations and our local affiliates. The walk began in 2013 in Boston, and has since expanded to four cities around the US, with our Houston #1Million4OCD Walk being the newest edition!
The Houston 1 Million Steps 4 OCD Walk will take place at Stude Park on Saturday, June 3, 2017. We anticipate 200+ members of the local community will walk with us in Houston this year after our successful event at Memorial Park in 2016. They will be joined by hundreds of others at our other Walks taking place on the same day in Northern California, Atlanta, and at our flagship location in Boston, as well as virtual walkers taking one million steps in communities around the globe.
New this year, OCD Texas has expanded its programming and will be holding additional 1 Million Steps 4 OCD Walks across the state of Texas! Click on the links below to learn more about Walks taking place in cities near you.
